‘Pulang Araw’ cast hops on ‘Kung Fu Fighting’ TikTok trend

The “Pulang Araw” cast and crew sure know how to have fun!

In a TikTok video by Rochelle Pangilinan, the team took on the “Kung Fu Fighting” TikTok dance trend, wherein they would walk in and out of the frame before striking poses in tune with the song — in their full period costumes.

With the Kapuso dancer and actress are her “Pulang Araw” crew members and co-stars Epy Quizon, Angelu De Leon, Ashley Ortega, Mikoy Morales, Sef Cadayona, Aidan Veneracion, Neil Ryan Sese, and Jay Arcilla. The video happened during the “Pulang Araw” grand media conference in Makati City on Tuesday.

“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland and Japanese forces occupy the Philippines, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.  

Dennis Trillo joins the cast as Japanese imperial army officer, Col. Yuta Saitoh, his first major kontrabida role.

“Pulang Araw,” is coming to Netflix via www.netflix.com/PulangAraw on July 26 and GMA Prime beginning July 29.
