Gabbi Garcia on playing Alena again in 'Sang'gre': 'Parang naka-engrave na siya sa akin'

The Sang'gres of the 2016 edition of "Encantadia," including Gabbi Garcia, have already started taping for the upcoming series, "Sang'gre."

In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the Sparkle star said that it felt nostalgic to be back as Sang'gre Alena.

"Nakakatuwa because parang everybody is just getting back into their characters," Gabbi said.

"Tsaka parang naka-engrave na siya sa akin. Nung sinuot ko 'yung costume ko automatic si Alena ulit ako," she said.

Aside from Gabbi, Glaiza De Castro, Kylie Padilla, and Sanya Lopez will also reprise their roles as Pirena, Amihan, and Danaya.

Earlier this week, Solenn Heussaff also officially joined the cast as Cassiopeia, the twin of series antagonist Mitena.

The upcoming series will feature a new generation of Sang'gres.

Bianca Umali will play the role of "Terra," the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith Da Silva will play the role of Flamarra, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Angel Guardian will portray the role of Deia, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin; and Kelvin Miranda will be the first male Sang'gre as Adamus, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Tubig.
