Alden Richards, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes among recipients of Box-Office Heroes plum at 7th Eddys Awards

Alden Richards, Marian Rivera, and Dingdong Dantes were among the recipients of the Box-Office Heroes award at the 7th Eddys Awards.

They were recognized along with Piolo Pascual, Julia Montes, and Kathryn Bernardo at the awarding ceremony on Sunday at the Marriott Grand Ballroom Pasay City.

Last year, Alden starred in "Five Breakups and a Romance," which earned over P100 million gross sales worldwide during its run last year. His co-star, Julia, also won Best Actress for her performance in the film, sharing the plum with Charlie Dizon.

Marian and Dingdong, meanwhile, starred in Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Rewind," which earned a whopping P889 million in worldwide sales and became the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

Established in 2015, The Eddys or The Entertainment Editors' Choice, is an annual film event in the Philippines that honors artisans, actors, writers, directors, workers, and producers in the Philippine film industry.

Alden is set to reprise his role as Ethan in the sequel of "Hello, Love, Goodbye," titled "Hello, Love, Again." The upcoming movie is set to premiere on November 13.

Meanwhile, Marian will star in the Cinemalaya film "Balota."
