Barbie Forteza, David Licauco ask for support as 'That Kind of Love' holds premiere night
Barbie Forteza and David Licauco's first movie together, "That Kind of Love," is finally coming out next week!
In Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the on-screen partners graced the film's premiere night and invited viewers to watch their latest project.
"We're both fans of romance films, so 'yung atake namin dito sa pelikulang ito is very—siya kasi I'd like to think mas ano siya eh very Korean drama vibe na very mysterious, reserved in his own way, pero alam mo na pagdating sa babaeng mahal niya, talagang he's very generous, he's very caring, he's very sweet," Barbie said.
The Kapuso Primetime Princess continued, "Ako naman, mas 'yung babae 'yung mas malaki gumalaw."
"I just hope na the people who supported us in 'Maria Clara [at Ibarra]' eh they will support us also here in this movie. I'm sure na they will get kilig," David said.
Barbie and David flew to South Korea last May to film some scenes for the project.
"Ang pinakanagustuhan kong street food doon, 'yung tanghulu. 'Yung fruits covered in sugar. Ay, ang sarap nun!" Barbie said.
"It was when we ate in a samgyup restaurant, nakita ko na super gusto ni Barbie 'yung Korean food. Nakita ko na kapag kumakain siya, talagang focused siya eh," David said.
"That Kind of Love" is also an entry to the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival.
Directed by Catherine Camarillo, "That Kind of Love" will be shown in Philippine cinemas on July 10.
Team BarDa is also set to star on "Pulang Araw" with Sanya Lopez, Alden Richards, and Dennis Trillo.
