Marimar or Darna? Marian Rivera answers

Marian Rivera has many iconic roles, among them Marimar and Darna.

In a game of This or That posted on GMA Network's Instagram page, the Kapuso Primetime Queen was tasked to choose whom she prefers among the two characters.

Marian laughed and then said, "My god, both! Hindi ba puwede both?"

Marian added that she can't choose because they are both important figures in her life.

"Hindi ko pwedeng ikumpara si Marimar kay Darna, parang iba 'yung naidulot nun sa akin parehas," she said. "At very thankful ako na nagampanan ko parehas 'yung role na 'yan."

Marian brought back her iconic Marimar look in a viral TikTok challenge.

The actress is fresh from her primetime comeback "My Guardian Alien," which aired its finale in June.

She and her husband Dingdong Dantes were also recently honored at the FAMAS Awards, where they became the first recipients of the Bida ng Takilya trophies.

Marian is starring in the upcoming Cinemalaya film, "Balota." She will play the role of Emmy, a teacher who serves in the election. Emmy runs into the wilderness with a ballot box, the last copy of the election results when violence in their town erupts.

Previous photos showed Marian holding a bright yellow ballot box in a school. Her co-star, content creator Sassa Gurl, also shared scenes of a protest and a conversation with Marian.
