'Widows' War' cast cheer for each other during watch party

The cast and crew of “Widows’ War” could not help but cheer for each other’s hard work during a watch party.

In an Instagram Reel posted by Bea Alonzo, the whole team watched an episode during a dinner break on set.

The ensemble cast could not take their eyes off the screen and cheered for each other during scenes. When the episode ended, everybody clapped and commended the team.

Bea thanked Kapuso viewers in her caption.

“Maraming salamat sa tumutok ngayong gabi sa pilot episode ng ‘Widows War,’ at sa lahat ng sumama sa amin kanina sa Facebook live at nagbigay ng kanilang suporta,” the actress said. 

“Thanks also for making us trend tonight! Yay!!”

"Widows’ War" is a spinoff of the popular GMA-7 murder-mystery series "Royal Blood" and "Widow's Web."

Bea stars alongside Carla Abellana, Tonton Gutierrez, Jean Garcia, Rita Daniela, Jeric Gonzales, Benjamin Alves, Juancho Triviño, Jackie Lou Blanco, James Graham, and more.

Carla and Bea play former best friends Georgina and Samantha. They both lose their husbands and become sworn enemies as they search for justice for their loved ones.

“Widows’ War” is directed by award-winning filmmaker Zig Dulay. It premiered on July 1 and airs weekdays at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
