Kim Ji Soo is working on his English-speaking skills, shares Tagalog phrases he learned
After surprising his fans with his "Black Rider" appearance, Kim Ji Soo said that many were also amazed that he knows how to speak English.
In his interview with Nelson Canlas on Monday's "24 Oras," the South Korean star said that he is still learning the language.
"Now I'm learning English because actually I love to watch documentaries like animals, like arts, and nature," he said, speaking for himself and not needing an interpreter.
Kim Ji Soo also flexed some Tagalog words that he learned.
"I also learned a few basic Tagalog words like 'Kumusta po kayo' and like 'Salamat po,' 'Masarap,' 'Mag-ingat ka,'" he said.
In "Black Rider," Kim Ji Soo will play the role of Adrian Park, a half-Korean, half-Filipino assassin.
Based on teasers, Kim Ji Soo will teach Yassi Pressman how to fire a gun. Unfortunately, he and Ruru Madrid did not get the chance to work together in the series.
"One day I want to be able to meet him and work with him," he said.
Kim Ji Soo is known for his roles in Korean dramas such as "Strong Girl Bong Soon" and "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo."
He also visited the Philippines last year.
"Black Rider" airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8:00 p.m. after "24 Oras."
