Cassy Legaspi and Michael Sager's first acting project directed by dad Zoren

Cassy Legaspi and Michael Sager are set to star in their first acting project together.

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Wednesday, "Regal Studio Presents: Fishing for Love" is directed by Cassy’s dad, Zoren.

“Medyo weird po ‘yung dynamics but siguro medyo nasanay ako kasi dati po nung nagte-tennis ako, every time nasa tennis court kami, bawal ‘yung, ‘Tatay, tatay.’ Bawal. Pagdating sa court, dapat, ‘Coach!’” Cassy said.

When asked if he felt nervous, Michael said, “Ay, ‘yun na po! ‘Pag sabi ni direk na ‘Actors in,’ actors in!”

Zoren, on the other hand, vowed that viewers would enjoy watching the piece.

“Nanibago siya in a sense na not because ako father ni Cassy, [but] because of the way I attack things sa mga eksena. Doon siya nanibago kasi nung una, nung nagre-rehearse kami, medyo stiff siya so sabi ko, ‘Loosen up.’ Pero aside from that, he’s OK. Kaya kung mapapanood nila dito talagang matutuwa sila sa dalawa. Promise ‘yan,” he said.

Michael and Cassy had already worked together on hosting and dancing projects.

“Nag-usap nga po kami, sabi ko, ‘Parang kinakabahan ako nang slight.’ Kahit alam mo ‘yung close na kami, loose na kami… We kept a boundary naman na work is work,” Michael said.

Michael is also set to star in “Shining Inheritance” with Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, and Coney Reyes.

The series originally starred Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo, Moon Chae Won, and Bae Soo Bin.

It follows a woman from a rich family who suddenly loses everything after the death of her father.
