Xian Lim-directed film 'Kuman Thong' unveils official trailer

“Kuman Thong,” the film directed by Xian Lim, just released its official trailer, and it is eerie.

The trailer introduces a mother of two who loses a son in a tragedy. To help bring her son back from the dead, the mother enlists the help of a Kuman Thong statue. In Thai folk religion, a Kuman Thong or Black Magic Baby, is believed to bring luck to its owner.

But instead of bringing her child back, things take a scary turn.

The horror film stars Cindy Miranda, Althea Ruedas, Max Nattapol, Jariya Therakaosal, and Emman Esquivel.

“Kuman Thong” comes out on July 3 in cinemas nationwide.

Xian is the director and writer of “Kuman Thong,” whereas his girlfriend Iris Lee is the producer. It was shot entirely in Thailand.

The actor also attended the Cannes Film Festival in May and directed an episode of GMA Network’s “Wish Ko Lang” in 2022.

Xian most recently starred in the GMA Primetime Series “Love. Die. Repeat” and in the sexy thriller film, “Playtime.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
