‘Inside Out 2’ records P88.8M in sales on first day in PH cinemas
The emotions are at an all-time high for “Inside Out 2!”
The collaboration film between Disney and Pixar was released in Philippine cinemas on Wednesday, and recorded a whopping P88.8 million sales in box office receipts, Disney Southeast Asia - Philippines confirmed to GMA News Online.
“Inside Out 2” marked the third-largest opening day in the Philippines, following “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019 and “Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018.
The sequel film to “Inside Out” goes into the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as Headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new emotions.
Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment show up.
“Inside Out,” released in 2015, is a coming-of-age film about the turmoil inside a girl's head. It introduced Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear, and Sadness.
