Xian Lim opens up on receiving 'false accusations,' death threats after split with Kim Chiu
Xian Lim opened up on the painful aftermath of his breakup with Kim Chiu.
In a GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, Xian said he has been the subject of false accusations online, and even his family has been dragged into the issue.
"It's gotten out of hand na and that's just the painful part of it," he said. "Sasabihin nila na nag-iingay si Xian because may pelikula, no."
"I do not deserve the false accusations, the lies being spread," he added.
Previously, Xian debunked the rumors that he is already married or living together with his girlfriend, Iris Lee. He confirmed their relationship in a magazine interview but clarified that they only started dating after his breakup with Kim.
He also released a statement warning people about "hearsay" and "deceiving headlines" when rumors of his split with Kim began to spread last year.
Xian said he can take hurtful words directed towards him, but even his mother and his grandmother began receiving personal messages.
"I'm getting death threats, my mom is getting death threats that's the gravity of situation I'm dealing with na," he said. "My family does not deserve that."
Xian said he understands that fans have been hurt by the news of his split with Kim after 12 years together, but he said he and Kim were the first to get hurt about their separation.
Nonetheless, the Kapuso actor maintained that he and Kim parted in good terms and that he is open to working with the "It's Showtime" host again "in time."
Xian will star in upcoming film "Playtime" with Sanya Lopez, Coleen Garcia, and Faye Lorenzo. It will open on cinemas on June 12.
