R’Bonney Gabriel enjoys a boodle fight in Boracay

R’Bonney Gabriel clearly enjoyed her favorite Filipino dishes at a boodle fight in Boracay!

Miss Universe 2022 shared an Instagram Reel of her lunchtime at the island destination.

“I just gotta do it with my bare hands,” she said, before starting the meal.

“First things first, itlog na maalat. My favorite,”she added, before dipping it in vinegar. “Suka, for sure. Oh yes!”dish

The beauty queen did not recognize tortang talong at first. When she realized it was also one of her favorite dishes, she ate it with rice and said they needed banana ketchup.

R’Bonney also tried bangus and was able to name most of the Filipino food on the table.

Finally, R’Bonney said she had to “top it off with something sweet.” She ate some fresh mango with her hands and said, “This is the only way to eat mangoes.”

Fans commended R’Bonney in the comments section for getting in touch with her Filipino roots and called her the most down-to-earth beauty queen.

During her trip to Boracay, R’Bonney is joined by her Filipino father Remigio, and American mother Dana.

While at the beach, R’Bonney hopped on the “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” TikTok trend with her father as a special guest.

R'Bonney was among the hosts of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night last week, where Bulacan’s Chelsea Manalo reigned victorious.

The first Filipino-American Miss Universe has been exploring her heritage in the Philippines, from eating Pinoy street food, practicing her "tawad" game in Divisoria, and riding a jeepney.
