Has Heart Evangelista started work as president of the Senate Spouses Foundation?
On Instagram Stories, the proud wife of Senate President Chiz Escudero shared a screengrab of the Instagram page of the Senate Spouses Foundation, which had just two posts, 63 followers, and following just one account.
"So we shall begin," Heart wrote with a smiley face. "Follow Senate Spouses PH," she added tagging the account of the foundation.
Heart posted the Instagram Stories late Tuesday and by Wednesday afternoon, the Senate Spouses PH account already had 1,756 followers.
The Senate Spouses Foundation, an organization comprised of Philippine senators' wives, was previously led by Audrey Tan Zubiri, the wife of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri.
Audrey also took to Instagram to bid farewell from her duties as president of the organization.
Earlier Wednesday, Audrey dedicated a two-part post to share their achievements from the past two years.
"As we turnover leadership of the Senate Spouses Foundation, we are filled with immense joy and pride in the remarkable milestones that the working team (shown in 2022 oathtaking photo above) has been able to accomplish, working non stop over the last two years to make it feel like Christmas all year round," Audrey began.
In her post, she gave a special shout out to Tootsy Angara, Gladys Villanueva, Kathryn Pimentel Pepito Angeles, Neil Llamanzares, Nancy dela Rosa and Usec Em Villar — the core members and committee heads of the Senate Spouses Foundation during her time — and thanked Cong. Lani Mercado, Cong. Josie Tulfo and Mayor Lani Cayetano for their help.
"We will always cherish our years together, and Iook forward to watching the foundation continue to thrive and grow. The spirit of collaboration, innovation, and compassion that defines our foundation will carry it forward into a bright future," Audrey ended her post.
Last week, Escudero was officially elected as the new Senate president, replacing Zubiri after the latter resigned from the post.
Donning a three-piece brown suit paired with a brown clutch and gold dangling earrings for the occasion. the proud Heart stood beside her husband as he took his oath.
"Mr. Senate President," Heart wrote on Instagram last week. "I'm so proud of you."
