Moira Dela Torre becomes the first Filipina artist to reach 2B streams on Spotify
Moira Dela Torre just reached 2 billion streams on Spotify!
On Instagram, the “Tagpuan” hitmaker celebrated the milestone by thanking her fans and supporters.
“Today, you guys made me the first Filipino artist and the first Filipina artist to reach 2 billion streams on Spotify,” Moira wrote.
“Thank you,” she added. “TWO BILLION TIMES THANK YOU.”
In the comments section, Moira’s celebrity friends congratulated her, including Marjorie Barretto, KC Concepcion, and “It’s Showtime” host Jhong Hilario.
Moira joined Ben&Ben as the only two OPM artists to surpass two billion streams on Spotify, as of writing.
The 2B stream-mark is yet another feather to the 30-year-old singer's Spotify cap. For six consecutive years beginning 2017, she is consistently named the most streamed female artist on Spotify Philippines.
But her success is not limited to the streaming platform. Last year, Moira was the lone Filipino nominee at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Aside from “Tagpuan,” Moira is the singer behind the hit songs “Paubaya,” “Ikaw at Sila,” and “Hilom.”
