Sassa Gurl shares behind-the-scenes snaps of 'Balota' as film wraps up taping

“Balota” is definitely looking to be an exciting film, as seen in new behind-the-scenes photos by Sassa Gurl.

In an Instagram post, the content creator revealed that filming has just wrapped. Sassa’s photos showed her character wearing a funky headband and speaking into a megaphone at what looks like a protest.

Sassa also shared a photo of a scene with lead star Marian Rivera, who was pointing at her and Esnyr.

In her caption, Sassa Gurl said about “Balota,” “We made magic tulad ng mga pulitiko tuwing eleksyon.”

Marian commented heart-eyed emojis. Sassa Gurl also has nothing but praise for the Kapuso Primetime Queen: “Pasabog ka ma!”

“Balota” follows a land-grabbing tycoon and a former male sexy actor who are locked in a tight race for the mayoral seat of a small town.

Marian will play the role of Emmy, a teacher who serves in the election. Emmy runs into the wilderness with a ballot box, the last copy of the election results when violence in their town erupts.

It is directed by award-winning filmmaker Kip Oebanda, and will screen at the Cinemalaya Film Festival from August 2 to 11.

Marian is fresh from a win at the FAMAS Awards, where she and Dingdong Dantes were the first recipients of the Bida ng Takilya trophies. She is currently starring in her comeback series, “My Guardian Alien.”

Meanwhile, Sassa Gurl is memorably the Drag Runner on “Drag Den" and also hosted the "Takeshi's Castle" reboot.
