How does Paolo Contis handle bashers? Actor answers

Paolo Contis admitted that he gets affected by the bashing he receives online.

On Wednesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the actor talked about how he handles hateful words, acknowledging that people are entitled to voice their opinions.

"Anything that they say about my family, yes, medyo nakakaapekto sa 'kin 'yon. But anything about me, ang plastic kung sasabihin kong walang wala," Paolo said.

"Pero ako kasi, I make sure na sa 100 na bashing, may isang positive diyan, I concentrate on that positive. Naniniwala ako na 'pag may isang naniniwala sa 'yo, OK ka pa," he continued.

With so much negativity in the world, Paolo said that one should not dwell on it too much.

"Lahat ng tao, they're entitled to what they want to say. Sometimes sobra, pero opinyon nila 'yon eh. So ang sa 'kin, hangga't may isang naniniwala sa 'yo, tuloy ka lang," he said.

Earlier this week, Paolo addressed the speculations that he and Yen Santos have broken up, saying that he has "no comment" and that he'd like to keep it personal.

When asked why he said so, Paolo said, "I think dumating na kasi tayo sa point na feeling ko people think na parang we owe it to everyone to share what's happening to you, and I believe it's not part of my acting craft anymore. So habang nagshe-share ka nang nagshe-share, lalo kang pakikialaman."

He said that it's also a form of respect for the people in his life.

"I think it's time na 'yung mga pribadong bagay, 'yung mga walang kinalaman sa pag-aarte mo or sa craft mo bilang artista, itira mo na 'yon para sa sarili mo," he said.

Paolo first confirmed his relationship with Yen in January last year. He also denied that Yen was the reason for his breakup with LJ Reyes.

Paolo said that he fell in love with Yen simply because she chose to stay with him.

Yen and Paolo starred together in the movie "A Faraway Land."
