DongYan bags two huge awards at the Box Office Entertainment awards

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, the Kapuso stars who topbilled the Philippines’ highest-grossing film of all time “Rewind,” just bagged two of the biggest recognitions at the Box Office Entertainment awards.

During the awards night on Sunday, DongYan received the Box-Office Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema and Most Popular Loveteam for Movies awards for their comeback film, “Rewind.”

As the Kapuso Primetime King was also named the Film Actor of the Year for “Rewind,” the film also bagged several awards including Most Popular Film Director (Mae Cruz-Alviar), Most Popular Screenwriter (Enrico Santos), and Most Popular Film Producer (APT Entertainment, Agosto Dos Pictures, and Star Cinema). 

In January, “Rewind” made history as the first Filipino film to surpass P900 million at the box office.

"Rewind" marked DongYan's return to the big screen. Their last project was 2010’s "You to Me Are Everything."

The story follows a couple whose marriage is on the rocks. A tragedy happens which causes the characters to live in a time-loop.

The Box Office Entertainment Awards was held on Sunday at the Henry Irwin Lee Theatre in Ateneo de Manila University. Among the winners are Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo as Box Office King and Queen respectively.
