Alden Richards, Kathryn Bernardo named Box Office King, Queen at Box Office Entertainment awards

Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo are officially the Box Office King and Box Office Queen of 2024!

At a Box Office Entertainment awards held in the Henry Lee Irwin Theater at Ateneo De Manila University on Sunday night, Alden and Kathryn received their awards individually.

Asia’s Multimedia Star received the Box Office King award for his film “Five Breakups and A Romance,” which he topbilled with Julia Montes.

Meanwhile, Kathryn received the Box Office Queen award for her most recent film “A Very Good Girl,” where she starred alongside Hollywood breakout star, Dolly De Leon.

In 2019, Alden and Kathryn starred in “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which previously held the record of the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time. “Rewind,” the comeback movie of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, overtook HLG's record earlier this year.

In Alden’s latest magazine cover, he opened up about being paired with Kathryn following their numerous sightings together in recent months.

“Whatever is happening between Kath and I, I really want it to be personal,” Alden said.

Alden previously commented on the real score between him and Kathryn, and said that what you see is what you get.
