Boobay posts update following Aparri incident: 'Buhay na buhay and ready to fight'

Boobay took to social media to share an update after stumbling on stage while hosting a town fiesta in Aparri, Cagayan.

In a video uploaded on the Facebook page of “The Boobay and Tekla Show,” the comedian assured fans that she’s OK.

“Gusto ko lang po iparating sa inyong lahat na ako po’y OK na OK at nais ko lamang pong pasalamatan ang ating mga minamahal na mga Kapuso, kamag-anak, mga kaibigan na nag-alala. Don’t worry dahil here I am. Boobay, buhay na buhay and ready to fight,” Boobay said.

Boobay continued, “Ayun nga po, tayo ay hinimatay dahil lamang po sa malakas na ilaw po pero ‘wag kayong mag-alala dahil after po noon ay naituloy pa rin namin at napasaya pa rin po namin ang ating mga minamahal na kababayan at Kapuso sa Aparri.”

In April of last year, Boobay became unresponsive in the middle of an interview on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”

In the same interview, Boobay said she still experiences some aftereffects of the stroke she suffered in 2016. Boobay recovered two months later and went back to work.

According to Boobay, her doctor advised her to take a break occasionally to give her body the proper care it needs.

"Kailangan raw magpahinga ako lagi, pero kaya ako tumatanggap ng trabaho [kasi] 'yun pa rin 'yung best way ko para magpahinga," Boobay said.
