Dingdong Dantes renews contract with GMA Network

Dingdong Dantes remains a Kapuso as he renews his ties with GMA Network.

The Kapuso Primetime King signed a new contract at the GMA Network Center on Thursday.

Present during his contract renewal were GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Network President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., GMA Network Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilibeth Rasonable, GMA Network Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, GMA Executive Vice President for GMA Pictures and First Vice President for Public Affairs Nessa Valdellon; GMA Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development and concurrent Chief Risk Officer and Head of Program Support Regie C. Bautista, and Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Sales and Marketing Group Lizelle G. Maralag.

"Ako na mismo magpapasalamat na pumirma siya ulit, nirenew ang kanyang contract sa GMA," Gozon said. "Sa tingin ko, 'pag magaling ka ay lalo kang gagaling 'pag sumama ka sa GMA. Ang exhibit one ay none other than Dingdong Dantes."

"Pero ito lang ang masasabi ko. Hindi pa niya nararating ang pinakatuktok ng kanyang mararating. Hindi kamukha kong matanda na na pababa na, si Dingdong pataas pa. Kaya Dingdong, maraming maraming salamat. And I hope GMA and you will go higher together," he added.

Dingdong couldn't help but tear up at the congratulatory messages he received from GMA executives.

"Sa aking mga boss, maraming maraming salamat," Dingdong said. "Thank you po for those kind words, I truly appreciate them."

He also expressed appreciation for the relationships he established along the way, particularly with the production crews, the staff on set, and his co-actors, saying that they made his every chapter in GMA memorable.

"Pinagpapasalamat ko 'yun sa inyo," Dingdong said. "Kung hindi dahil sa inyo, hindi ko rin ma-a-appreciate ng ganito ang biyaya at trabahong binigay sa akin ng GMA. Kaya maraming maraming salamat sa inyo."

Before he became a household name, Dingdong starred in his first series under GMA Network in the youth-oriented show “T.G.I.S.”

Since then, he starred in several Kapuso series such as “Encantadia,” “Alyas Robinhood,” and “Dyesebel” to name a few. He also top-billed some award-winning movies, most recently “Rewind.”
