-The upcoming season was filmed during the winter season in South Korea, and while the cast already knows who bagged the award, their lips are remain tightly zipped.

In a media conference ahead of the upcoming season’s premiere, season 1 winner Angel Guardian was asked if she felt pressured to win again.

“Actually, this season po, mas focused ako na mag-enjoy ako. Kasi parang last season, nasa isip ko parang I play to win. Pero this season, parang I play more to enjoy. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung sinet ko sa utak ko na, ‘Siguro, OK na ‘yung last season na talagang buhos lahat,’” she said.

[This season, my focus is to enjoy. Last season, I was playing to win. But this season, I was playing to enjoy. That's how I set my mind. I think it's good last season, I really gave it my all.]

Angel said that she still has that competitive spirit in her, but her mindset has changed."

“Mas focused na ako na ‘yun nga, mag-enjoy, makabonding ‘yung mga runners, and makita kaming lahat nag-e-enjoy, lahat nananalo,” she said. “Kasi every mission, we have to give our all para rin sa mga audience, para rin ma-enjoy nila.”

[My focus is to enjoy and bond with the other runners, to see all of us are enjoying and winning. Every mission, we have to give it our all sos the audience will also enjoy.]

When asked who her toughest opponent this season was, Angel said that it was Buboy Villar.

“Ngayon lang tayo nagkaharap eh. Ngayon lang kami nagkakasalubong ni Buboy, pero na-enjoy ko ‘yun kasi hindi kami nagkakasalubong dati,” she said. “This season, ilang beses tayo nagtapat.”

[I've only competed with him now but I enjoyed it because I never used to see him. This season, we competed a few times.]

"Running Man Philippines" is the local adaptation of the longest-running South Korean reality game, "Running Man." It is a co-production between GMA Network and SBS Korea.
