Miguel Tanfelix admits he felt intimidated by 'Running Man PH' cast's closeness ahead of Season 2

Miguel Tanfelix on Saturday admitted that he felt nervous upon receiving the news that he would be joining "Running Man PH" Season 2.

In a press conference, the Sparkle star said he knew the original cast members were able to build a strong bond during the show’s first season.

“Kinabahan po ako kung paano ako magfi-fit sa grupo kasi ako, may pagka introvert. Parang minsan nahihiya akong kumausap ng mga tao,” he said.

“Pinanood ko ‘yung buong season 1, na-intimidate ako sa kanila kung gaano sila ka-close. Inisip ko kung paano ako papasok sa grupo nila," he added.

But before he arrived in South Korea, Miguel assured himself that things would be OK.

“Sinabi ko sa sarili ko na ‘Bahala na lang.’ Tapos trinust ko na lang sila kung paano nila ako tatanggapin, no expectations. Basta kung anong mangyari sa Korea, bahala na si Batman, ganoon,” he said.

And it turned out that Miguel was right.

“Buti na lang naging very welcoming sila sa ‘kin kaya at least naging masaya ‘yung buong 43 days,” he said.

Miguel was introduced as the newest runner shortly after Ruru Madrid announced that he would miss the show's second season. The "Black Rider" star, however, will still have a special participation in Season 2.

Miguel joined the OG runners, Mikael Daez, Glaiza De Castro, Buboy Villar, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy de Santos, and Angel Guardian.

"Running Man Philippines" is the local adaptation of the longest-running South Korean reality game show, "Running Man." It is a co-production between GMA Network and SBS Korea.

Angel was hailed as the ultimate runner in Season 1, which aired in 2022.

The upcoming season will begin airing on May 11 and 12 at 7:15 p.m. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
