'Firefly,’ Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, more Kapuso personalities nominated at 72nd FAMAS Awards
The 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards has announced its official nominees and it includes several Kapuso personalities.
GMA Pictures' "Firefly" earned a number of nods, including Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actress (Alessandra de Rossi) and Best Child Actor (Euwenn Mikaell).
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards meanwhile is among the nominees for the Best Actor award for his performance in “A Family of Two.” He is up against Piolo Pascual ("Mallari"), Cedrick Juan ("Gomburza"), Alfred Vargas ("Pieta"), Ken Chan ("Papa Mascot"), and Dingdong Dantes ("Rewind").
Marian Rivera, who is nominated for the Best ActorActress award for her performance in the box-office film “Rewind" is going up against Kathryn Bernardo ("A Very Good Girl"), Maricel Soriano ("In His Mother's Eyes"), Charlie Dizon ("Third World Romance"), Sharon Cuneta ("A Family of Two"), and Eugene Domingo ("Becky & Badette").
Previously, FAMAS announced Dingdong and Marian to receive the FAMAS Bida sa Takilya Award, which is given to those who star in blockbuster movies.
Nominated for Best Picture are "Iti Mapupukaw," "Gomburza," "Mallari," "A Very Good Girl," "Rewind," and "Papa Mascot."
The FAMAS Awards will be held on May 26 at the Fiesta Pavilion at the Manila Hotel.
