Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Alden Richards, more Kapuso programs, personalities win at the 52nd Box Office Entertainment Awards

GMA Network won big at the  52nd Box Office Entertainment Awards with 19 Kapuso programs and personalities taking home major awards.

Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera took home the top honors as this year’s Box Office Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema, following the box office success of their comeback movie “Rewind," which became the Philippines' highest-grossing film of all time. It also surpassed the previous record in domestic sales set by "Hello, Love, Goodbye," starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.

The Kapuso celebrity couple also bagged the Most Popular Love team for Movies award, while Dantes received the Film Actor of the Year award, along with fellow multi-awarded actor Piolo Pascual.

Meanwhile, Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards was named the Box Office King for his performance in the hit romance-drama film, “Five Breakups and a Romance” (2023), where he starred with Julia Montes. 

Aside from Alden and DongYan, Dennis Trillo and Barbie Forteza won Primetime TV Drama Actor and Actress of the Year, respectively for their roles in the hit fantaserye “Maria Clara at Ibarra."

The awarding body is organized by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation. The award ceremony will be held on May 12, 2024 at the Henry Lee Theater in Ateneo de Manila University.
