Bea Alonzo files cyber libel cases against Cristy Fermin, Ogie Diaz, and co-hosts
Bea Alonzo filed three separate criminal cases for cyber libel at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office against showbiz columnists and online hosts Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz along with their co-hosts in their respective online programs.
According to Nelson Canlas, the Kapuso actress also filed a complaint against an online basher who is pretending to be close to her.
Bea's complaint affidavit states she was the victim of false, malicious, and damaging information from someone who pretended to be close to her, which was published and discussed on Fermin and Diaz's online shows without any basis.
This included the alleged successive insults to the actress in their columns and shows, as well as the issue of her allegedly not paying the correct tax.
Bea was accompanied in the filing by her lawyer Atty. Joey Garcia and manager Shirley Kuan.
GMA Integrated News has reached out to Ogie Diaz and Cristy Fermin to get their reactions but has yet to receive replies as of posting.
Bea made headlines in February alongside Dominic Roque after Boy Abunda confirmed their split.
The couple released their own statement soon after, announcing they had decided to end their engagement and, ultimately, their relationship.
Bea and Dominic got engaged in July 2023 and supposedly planned to hold their wedding this year.
In March, Bea made headlines again after netizens thought she was wearing her engagement ring again.
Bea is currently taping her upcoming series with Carla Abellana, "Widow's War."
