Edgar Mortiz looks back on love triangle with Nora Aunor, Tirso Cruz III

Before the iconic Guy and Pip love team of Tirso Cruz III and Nora Aunor, there was first the pair of Nora and Edgar "Bobot" Mortiz.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Bobot looked back on his on-screen love triangle with Nora and Tirso in the '70s.

"Nag-love team kami siyempre mga bata pa kami. Parang laro-laro lang. Kaming dalawa muna ni Ate Guy, pagkatapos ipinasok ni Tony Santos si Tirso, naging triangle kami," the Filipino actor and director said.

He also recalled the time when filmmaker Tony Santos had to "stage" a fight between the love's respective fan clubs to spice things up among the three. From there, a "rivalry" was formed between them.

"So sabi nga dapat unahan kami ni Tirso ligawan si Ate Guy parang ganon," Edgar said.

But things took a different turn when Nora and Tirso fell in love with each other and started dating.

Nevertheless, the trio continued to make movies together until Edgar was "removed" in the middle of the filming to give way to the Guy and Pip love team.

"Nagka-inlove-an na sila. So sa kalagitnaan ng pelikula, tinawag na ako ng producer. Tinanggal na ako," he said.

After his exit, Edgar went back to singing and was eventually paired with Vilma Santos.

Edgar starred with Nora and Tirso in several movies like "Drakulita," and "Oh Delilah."
