Liza Soberano is a jury member at Vietnam Film Festival
Liza Soberano is truly making the best out of her Hollywood stint!
On Instagram, the Filipina-American actress shared some snaps of herself at the 1st Ho Chi Minh International Film Festival in Vietnam, where she served as a jury member.
In the photos, Liza wore an elegant black long gown designed by Filipino fashion designer Anthony Ramirez. She was styled by Perry Tabora, with hair by Renz Pangilinan and makeup by Mickey See
In her post, Liza expressed how “thrilled” and “honored” she was to serve as a jury member of the inaugural film festival.
“So thrilled and honored to have served as a jury member for the first-ever Ho Chi Minh International Film Festival,” she began in the caption.
“Was such an amazing showcase of talented filmmakers from all over the world!!” the 26-year-old actress added.
Ending her post, the “Lisa Frankenstein” actor said she was “inspired” to continue her craft, and didn’t also miss the opportunity to congratulate the winners.
“Truly so inspired to continue working in an industry that encourages freedom of expression and challenges the way we think. Congratulations to all the winners!” she concluded.
Liza was joined by esteemed individuals in the cinematic world, including Nguyen Thanh Van (jury president), Luong Dinh Dung, Tom Cross, Samuel Jamier, John Badalu, and Trinh Dinh Le Minh.
Meanwhile, the highest award at the event, Golden Star for Best Southeast Asian Feature Film, was given to Filipino filmmaker Sheron Dayoc’s The Gospel of the Beast.
The HCMC International Film Festival (HIFF) is an “annual cinematic extravaganza that celebrates the art of storytelling through film.”
The Filipina actress has been making waves after her first Hollywood project, “Lisa Frankenstein,” hit cinemas in February.
In the movie, Liza played Taffy, the popular yet kind girl who is also Lisa’s stepsister. Her performance has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike. American filmmaker Jo Russo and Liza’s boyfriend Enrique Gil are also among those who are impressed.
