Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay to star in upcoming Kapuso series 'Ang Prinsesa ng City Jail'

Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay are set to star in upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series "Ang Prinsesa ng City Jail."

According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the series will shoot on an actual jail.

The story will follow Princess (Sofia), who grows up inside the city jail along with jail guards. While searching for her real family, she will be helped by a new inmate, Xavier (Allen).

"Excited ako na ma-experience 'yung kung paano mag-taping sa loob ng kulungan. kasi it's something new and hindi lahat ng parang shoot nae-experience 'yun," Sofia said.

"Sina Direk daw, talagang hinanap daw nila 'yung location kung saan talaga 'yung gagampanan, 'yung eksena, talagang pinili nila 'yung talagang ma-experience mo 'yung nasa kulungan," Allen added.

Sofia and Allen will be joined by Will Ashley, and they will form a love triangle for the first time. The three of them previously worked together in "Prima Donnas: Book 2."

"Ang Prinsesa ng City Jail" has a powerhouse cast which includes Beauty Gonzalez, Dominic Ochoa, Al Tantay, Minie Aguilar, Ayen Laurel, and Denise Laurel.

The series will be directed by Jerry Sineneng, who previously directed "Love. Die. Repeat."

Sofia and Allen, also known as AlFia or Team Jolly, previously starred together in "Luv Is: Caught in His Arms" and "In My Dreams."

Meanwhile, Will previously appeared in "Unbreak My Heart," "Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters," and "The Fake Life."
