Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez challenged by tap dancing lessons for 'Pulang Araw'

Barbie Forteza and Sanya Lopez are still taking their tap dancing lessons for their roles in "Pulang Araw."

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Sparkle stars admitted that it is not easy to learn the dance.

Barbie and Sanya are also prohibited from doing ballet and going to the gym.

"Bawal daw mag-ballet. 'Di naman ako marunong mag-ballet, so OK lang," Barbie said.

Kaya pinagbabawalan tayong mag-gym din," Sanya said.

Aside from tap dancing, the stars also need to learn more about Philippine history.

"I think this goes to show how much we really respect the show kasi TV naman, you can always daya. Sobrang paghihirapan namin itong proyektong ito," Barbie said.

So importante 'yan," Sanya said.

"Pulang Araw" is dubbed as the biggest historical action-drama series of 2024.

Barbie and Sanya will be joined by David Licauco and Alden Richards in the series.

Barbie and Sanya will play half-sisters Adelina and Teresita. Alden, meanwhile, will play Barbie's half-brother Eduardo, who has American blood.

David will play Hiroshi, a Japanese soldier. He will study the Japanese language for the role.

"Pulang Araw" will also star Dennis Trillo as the antagonist of the series.
