Aespa's Karina and Lee Jae Wook break up —report

Aespa's Karina and Lee Jae Wook have split up, weeks after announcing their relationship to the public.

According to Soompi, sources from their agencies confirmed the news following reports.

A source from Lee Jae Wook’s agency C-JeS said, “Lee Jae Wook decided on the breakup in order to focus on the project he is currently filming. The two decided to remain as colleagues who support each other.”

“They will each greet [fans] through good activities from their respective positions going forward. Please show lots of warm interest and support," they added.

Meanwhile, a source from SM Entertainment said, “It is true they broke up.”

Karina and Lee Jae Wook confirmed their relationship in February.

Following this, Karina shared a handwritten letter to fans, apologizing for surprising them with the news.

Karina debuted with Aespa in 2020. Their group is known for their hit songs “Black Mamba,” and “Next Level.”

Meanwhile, Jae Wook debuted as an actor in 2018 and has since appeared in several K-dramas such as “Extraordinary You,” and “Alchemy of Souls.” —JCB, GMA Integrated News
