Jennylyn Mercado posts old pic with Dennis Trillo in the background: 'Who would've thought?'

Jennylyn Mercado shared a throwback photo that proves that love does move in mysterious ways.

In her Instagram Story, Jen shared a pic from what looks like her 18th birthday party. She's wearing a gown and is dancing with her dad, Papa Noli.

But there is another special man behind her, her now-husband Dennis Trillo in a suit and holding a rose.

“Who would’ve thought?!” the Kapuso Ultimate Star wrote in her post. “Hi love."

Jennylyn and Dennis first got together in 2010 but broke up less than a year later. DenJen’s second chance at love happened in 2014, when they patched things up.

The couple got engaged and then married in 2021, and welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Dylan in 2022.

Jennylyn and Dennis are set to star in their first movie together after 14 years, titled "Everything About My Wife" which is a romantic comedy and a Philippine adaptation of an Argentinian film.

The film is about a couple who always argue. Sam Milby will join the Kapuso stars.

Jennylyn’s comeback series “Love. Die. Repeat,” aired its finale on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Dennis is set to play his first major kontrabida role in the biggest historical drama of the year, “Pulang Araw.”
