Lovi Poe joins cast of film by Garry A. Brown, director of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'
Lovi Poe has another international project!
The Filipina actress and singer has been cast in a new film to be produced and directed by Garry A. Brown, best known for his work on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Prison Break."
According to Deadline, Lovi will star alongside Canadian actor Adam Beach. The film is based on the true story of Paul Fullerton (Adam), a decorated Native American fire captain. Lovi will play his wife, Marie.
Their lives are turned upside down when an accident draws Paul into marijuana. The couple’s home was raided and they were unjustly accused of selling and distributing marijuana.
Lovi shared the exciting news on Instagram.
“Couldn’t be happier to share this with you guys,” she said. “Really grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing filmmakers and be part of the inspiring true story of Paul and Marie Fullerton.”
Lovi recently appeared in the film “Seasons,” which was in the Netflix Global Top 10 list for three weeks. Deadline said she is also part of the feature film “My Sister’s Bones” with Olga Kurlyenko and Anna Friel.
She recently wrapped up filming another Hollywood indie film, “Bad Man.”
Lovi was previously part of the Hollywood project, “The Chelsea Cowboy,” which is yet to be released. She played British blues singer Dana Gillespie.
