Karylle is looking forward to turn over 'Encantadia' roles with new Sang'gres

Karylle is looking forward to passing the brilyante to the new generation of Sang'gres.

During the contract signing of "It's Showtime" with GMA Network on Wednesday, Karylle recalled how the 2005 Sang'gres turned over their roles to their 2016 counterparts.

Karylle, along with Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, and Diana Zubiri played the original Sang'gres. Their roles were taken over by Gabbi Garcia, Glaiza De Castro, Kylie Padilla, Sanya Lopez in 2016.

"When they had 'Encantadia' before, si Direk Mark Reyes, he had a big reunion in his house, and we had like a turnover also sa mga bagong Sang'gre," Karylle told GMA News Online.

"I'm sure naman si Direk Mark will set up something [with the new batch]," she said. "I'm very, very excited to meet the new cast."

When asked for her advice to "Sang'gre" stars Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian, Karylle said it will be more special to share her messages to them in person.

Karylle, who played the Alena role in the 2005 version of "Encantadia," is among the hosts of "It's Showtime," which is set to air on GMA Network starting on April 6, alongside GTV.

The noontime show signed a new contract with the Kapuso network on Wednesday at GMA Studios.

"Sang'gre" is a spinoff of the iconic fantaserye "Encantadia." It started filming in November last year.

Bianca will star as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Kelvin as Adamus, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Tubig; and Angel as Deia, keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin.
