Here’s what Weng Salvacion and Weng Dela Peña do when they’re not on radio

When they’re not delivering news on-air, Weng Salvacion and Weng Dela Peña continue to serve as Kapuso journalists through and through.

In an interview on “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel,” the “Dobol Weng sa Dobol B” anchors walked the audience through their daily lives.

According to Salvacion, much of her daily life is dictated by her radio schedule. She is in the radio booth every morning on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for “Saksi sa Dobol B” and then again in the afternoon between 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for “Dobol Weng sa Dobol B.”

On Saturdays, she comes in at 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for “Dobol Weng sa Dobol B.”

Salvacion works as the Assistant News Manager of DZBB that's why "In between that — especially Monday to Friday — ang tinatrabaho ko ay yung admin works sa loob, yung pagbabantay sa mga reporters, and ang iba pang kailangan gawin as Assistant News Manager.”

“Lahat na ng patungkol sa news operations ng DZBB, syempre kargo ko yun kapag wala ang aking Senior News Manager na si Norilyn Temblor," she adds.

Meanwhile, Dela Peña has two daily shows: “Anong Say Niyo?” from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then “Dobol Weng sa Dobol B” during afternoons.

On Sundays, he also hosts “The Secrets of Health” at 9 p.m.

“Pag wala sa ere, pag may mag pinapa voiceover, that's what I do,” he said. Dela Peña provides his voiceover work for DZBB and GMA Network.

Aside from that, Dela Peña is a loving family man with three kids.

“Eldest ko is 18 lang, the second is 14, the youngest is 12, two boys yun,” he said. “So they are my joy. Teenager na, well the 18 one, kaka debut lang.”
