Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali hope to bring joy to global Pinoys in Canada

Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali are set to entertain global Pinoys in Canada in April, along with the BarDa love team of Barbie Forteza and David Licauco, the JulieVer love team of Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz, and comedian and TV host Boobay.

In a Sparkle media conference on Tuesday, Ruru said that it's an honor to perform and give joy to fellow Pinoys abroad who always welcome them with open arms.

Aside from bringing joy to the fans, Bianca is also looking forward to bringing "home" to them, despite being away in their home country.

"Sabik talaga silang maka-uwi at siyempre focus sila sa kung ano mang trabaho nila do'n, so they miss home and I think the main goal here is makapagpasaya doon and bring home to them," she said.

The show will be held on April 5 in Calgary and April 7 in Toronto. It will be directed by Johnny Manahan.

Ruru and Bianca confirmed their relationship in 2022. The couple starred in their first project together, "The Write One," last year.

Julie Anne and Rayver, meanwhile, have been making fans kilig with their jamming sessions and dance covers online. They exchanged "I love yous" during their JulieVerse concert in 2022 and also shared the stage in Limitless Live.

Barbie and David rose to popularity as a love team when they played Fidel and Klay in historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra." They also starred in the special limited series "Maging Sino Ka Man."

Boobay is a co-host of "The Boobay and Tekla Show," which airs on Sundays at 10:05 p.m. after "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho."
