Julie Anne San Jose says GMA is her 'second home' as she renews her contract
Julie Anne San Jose remains as a Kapuso as she renewed her contract with GMA Network and Sparkle GMA Artist Center on Tuesday.
Present at her contract signing were GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Network President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Senior Vice President for Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, and Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo.
Vice President for Musical Variety, Specials and Alternative Productions Ms. Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Network’s Vice President for Entertainment Group Ms. Janine Piad-Nacar, and Assistant Vice President Ms. Enri T. Calaycay were also present to show their support to Asia's Limitless Star.
During the press conference following her signing, Julie Anne credited the Kapuso network for helping shape the person she is today.
“Dito na po ako nag-grow. Hindi lang po bilang isang artist, bilang isang singer, bilang isang performer, pero dito po nabuo ang pagkatao ko. Ito pong GMA network, this is already my second home,” Julie Anne said.
The singer-actress also expressed her gratitude to the Lord for all the blessings, and GMA Network for believing in her.
“Grateful po ako sa Panginoon sa araw na ito. Thankful po ako sa lahat ng blessings na natatanggap ko, sa buhay na pinagkaloob niya sa akin. Of course GMA Network, maraming maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at sa tiwala niyo po. Thank you so much for believing in me, in my talents, in my capabilities,” she said.
Ending her speech, Julie Anne said that she will be “forever proud to be a Kapuso.”
Gozon meanwhile thanked Julie Anne for choosing to stay in her home network of 18 years.
“Congratulations! Kami ay nagpapasalamat na you chose to stay with GMA and we are very very proud of you,” he said.
Julie Anne, a homegrown talent of the Kapuso network, started her career at 11 years old. She rose to prominence after competing in the reality singing competition Popstar Kids in 2005.
As a singer, she has earned many accolades under her belt including two FAMAS Awards, and a star at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.
As an actress, Julie Anne has appeared in numerous Kapuso shows such as “Pepito Manaloto,” and the highly-rated historical-fantasy drama “Maria Clara at Ibarra.” —JCB, GMA Integrated News
