Michael V. during renewal of contract with GMA Network: 'Wala na akong planong umalis pa'
Michael V. remains a Kapuso!
On Monday, the comedian and TV host renewed his contract with GMA Network and vowed to continue his legacy in the Kapuso Network.
“I’ve been in the entertainment industry for more than 28 years pero most of my time andito ako sa GMA and wala na akong planong umalis pa dahil ito na talaga eh,” Bitoy said during the press conference following his signing,
“This is definitely my home and it will be my home until siguro the last days of my entertaining life,” he added.
Present at the contract signing were GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Network President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable and Bitoy’s talent manager and wife Carolina Bunagan.
Also present were Chief Marketing Officer Lizelle G. Maralag, Senior Vice President for Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, First Vice President for GMA International Joseph Jerome T. Francia, Vice President for Business Development Department II Janine Piad-Nacar, Vice President for Business Development Department III Gigi Santiago-Lara, and Assistant Vice President for Business Development Department II Enri T. Calaycay. Program Managers of the Comedy Department of the Entertainment Group, Cecille de Guzman and Ella Balana, as well as Comedy Creative Director Cesar Cosme to show their support to Bitoy.
In his speech, Gozon expressed his gratitude to Bitoy for choosing to stay in his home network.
“Kami ay lubos na nagagalak at nagpapasalamat na magpapatuloy ang aming pagsasama ni Bitoy," Gozon said.

With a career spanning almost three decades, Bitoy has appeared in several Kapuso TV shows.
He is among the leads of GMA's Sunday comedy show "Bubble Gang,” and the TV sitcom “Pepito Manaloto.”
He recently went viral for his diss tracks "Uhaw," and other parodies like "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" and "Raining in Manila."
In October, the Kapuso comedian was honored as one of the comedy icons of Philippine showbiz by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) held in Muntinlupa last week.
