Barbie Forteza, Jak Roberto remember Jaclyn Jose as a 'generous' co-star: 'Hindi siya namimili ng tao'

Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto were among the Kapuso stars who came to Jaclyn Jose’s wake on Friday evening.

In an interview with GMA News Online, Barbie said that she and Jak were together when they heard the news about the veteran actress’ sudden passing, adding that they didn’t believe it at first.

So, [ang] hirap.”

Jak, like other stars, remembered Jaclyn for her motherly care.

“Very mommy talaga si Tita Jane. Sa ‘Bolera’ kami nagkatrabaho. I think ‘yun ‘yung first and last, pero sobrang na-feel ko ‘yung hindi siya namimili ng tao,” he said.

Jaclyn, born Mary Jane Guck, died on March 2 at 60 years old. Andi revealed that she died due to a heart attack.

Jaclyn’s death was first announced by her agency, PPL Entertainment. Her family, through the Philippine National Police, also previously said that there was no foul play involved.

Her other notable performances include starring and supporting roles in films such as "The Flor Contemplacion Story" and "Patay Na Si Hesus.” She also starred in several GMA Network series, including "Marimar," "The Millionaire's Wife," and "D'Originals."

Other stars present at Jaclyn’s wake on Friday were Alden Richards, Andrea Torres, and directors Gina Alajar and Dominic Zapata.

Andi thanked the Kapuso network, saying it’s “so amazing for me to see how much you guys loved her so much.”
