'Firefly' star Euwenn Mikaell to work with Juan Karlos and Joel Torre in new project

Exciting days are coming for Euwenn Mikaell! In a post by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, the child actor is seen with Juan Karlos Labajo , Joel Torre, and award-winning director Benedict Mique.

The talent management agency said Euwenn will be having a project with the seasoned showbiz veterans, and that it will be coming out soon.

Euwenn made waves for his role as TonTon in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “ Firefly ,” produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs. The tear-jerking magical realism film follows TonTon, who searches for the mythical island described in his mother's stories.

The film won the MMFF Best Picture award and Euwenn was named Best Child Actor .

"Firefly" also bagged top awards at the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) in Hollywood, California. These include Best Supporting Actress for Alessandra De Rossi, Best Director for Zig Dulay , and Best Screenplay for GMA Public Affairs Assistant Vice President Angeli Atienza.
