Is Herlene Budol still open to joining beauty pageants?
Herlene Budol is now part of the Sparkle family, with acting projects lined up left and right.
On the sidelines of her contract signing on Tuesday, the newly minted Sparkle talent said she will be resting in the pageantry world for a while, to prioritize her acting career for now.
“Siguro ngayon, pahinga muna. Parang mas kailangan ko munang mag-focus sa pag-acting kasi parang di kaya ng braincells ko kapag sabay-sabay sila. So kailangan isa-isa lang muna,” Herlene shared.
[For now, I will rest from pageantry. I need to focus on acting because I won't be able to handle if I pursue them simultaneously. I need to do them one at a time.]
While she is not closing her doors in the pageantry, the “Black Rider” actress said she will focus on what’s currently on her plate now.
“At 'saka masaya ako ngayon sa ginagawa ko. Hindi ko naman kino-close na hindi na ako sasali. I mean, papahinga lang. Siguro, mag-focus ako sa kung anong nandiyan muna,” she explained.
[I'm happy with what I'm doing. I'm not closing the doors. I am just taking a break. I'll focus on what's there.]
Herlene recently signed a management contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, so expect to see her a lot on TV this year.
She currently stars in the action-packed series "Black Rider" as Pretty.
Herlene also recently starred in "Magandang Dilag," which marked her first lead role in a series.
Before showbiz, she made a name for herself in pageantry.
She was crowned Miss Philippines Tourism at the Miss Grand International pageant in July. She was also named Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up.
