Jaclyn Jose remembered for her motherly care for co-stars
More of her fellow stars continue to pay tribute to Jaclyn Jose following her sudden passing.
In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Tanya Garcia said that the late veteran actress was like a mother to her when they worked together and even after their project ended.
Tanya and Jaclyn starred together in the 2001 series "Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga."
"Out of the blue, mangangamusta, magi-greet, 'Happy Birthday, Tanya. Gusto ko ng chicharon, Tanya, padalhan mo ako.' 'Yung little things, pero sobrang grateful siya, sobrang happy siya," Tanya said.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith was also greatly saddened by Jaclyn's passing. The two starred together in the 2021 Kapuso series "The World Between Us."
"Marami akong saloobin na na-share sa kaniya. Na-guide niya ko sa maraming bagay. Talagang I'm lost for words and napakalungkot actually, napakalungkot," she said.
Katrina Halili also shared that Jaclyn comforted her after the death of her boyfriend, Jeremy Guiab, inviting her to spend time together.
Jake Ejercito, the father of Jaclyn's granddaughter Ellie and ex-boyfriend of her daughter Andi Eigenmann, also testified how the late actress guided him with a mother's touch and treated him like her own son.
Other stars who also paid tribute to the late actress on social media were Alden Richards, Kylie Padilla, Gardo Versoza, AiAi Delas Alas, Lianne Valentin, Jeric Gonzales, Rayver Cruz, and more.
Jaclyn, born Mary Jane Guck, died on March 2 at 60 years old. Her daughter, Andi Eigenmann, revealed that she died of a heart attack.
Jaclyn's passing was first announced by her agency, PPL Entertainment. The Philippine National Police said her family is convinced that there was no foul play involved in her death.
Her family is still finalizing the inurnment schedule.
Jaclyn's other notable performances include starring and supporting roles in films such as "The Flor Contemplacion Story" and "Patay Na Si Hesus." She also starred in several GMA Network series, including "Marimar," "The Millionaire's Wife," and "D'Originals."
