Jericho Rosales says staying friends with Kim Jones is 'one of the best things that ever happened to us'

Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones are real proof that exes can still be friends.

In his cover story on Cosmopolitan Philippines, Jericho revealed that when the separation statement came out in January, he and Kim were actually on the phone to check in with each other.

"We were just talking about it, laughing about it," he said.

Jericho added that it was the right time to announce the split and that their goal was to show the public that they’re good.

“I think the best part was that it was considered a 'success' when we felt that people understood and people saw that things like this can happen. And it shouldn't always be sad. It shouldn't always be a bad thing. You know what I mean?" Jericho said.

“We've crossed over, you know, we've transformed the relationship into something really special as friends," he added.

The actor also said that “it’s normal” for people to be sad over their breakup given that they’re in the limelight.

Jericho further said that the split and their renewed friendship benefitted them.

"It's one of the best things that ever happened to us. And we wanted for people to be inspired and show them that, 'Hey, look, it can be done. You can be friends with your ex,'" he said.

Echo also revealed that he is working with Kim on a new film, where the multi-hyphenate serves as a producer and co-writer.

Jericho and Kim’s split was announced in January.
