What does it mean to be 'sosyal'? Gloria Diaz answers
Mother-daughter duo Gloria Diaz and Isabelle Daza were the latest stars to grace "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda!"
During their guest appearance on Tuesday, the celebrities were asked how they would define the term sosyal and what it meant to be one.
"When you come in, even if you're in a big party na mga sosyal people, even if you're uncomfortable, kunyari at home ka, gano'n," Gloria said.
To give an example, the Miss Universe 1969 said that she had previously attended a big party.
"The other day, I was in a big party, everybody had diamonds. Sabi ko nga dun sa—kay Belle, I think, 'Dapat ganito na lang ginamit ko. Siguro mas napansin nila ito,'" she said. "'Cause everybody had diamonds all over."
"Is that how to be sosyal, diamonds?" Belle asked.
"'Yun bang you're comfortable even if your stomach is grumbling din. Siyempre, the more sosyal you are, the more nervous they wanna fill in. But, at the end of the day, pare-pareho, it's really the young people who look sosyal," Gloria said.
Gloria was the first Filipina to win the Miss Universe crown.
Isabelle is one of her three children, aside from Ava and Rafael Daza.
In 2016, Isabelle married Adrien Semblat. They have three children: Balthazar, Valentin, and Esmeralda.
