Cristy Fermin responds to Dominic Roque's statement, says she won't apologize

Cristy Fermin has responded to Dominic Roque's statement addressing the issues she allegedly threw at him.

According to "24 Oras," Wednesday, Cristy said on her program that she never mentioned names or initials when rumors about Dominic's breakup with Bea Alonzo surfaced.

"Mula nang salatin ko po ang isyu ng breakup ni Bea Alonzo at Dominic Roque, ni isang banggit po ng pangalan nitong si Mayor Bullet Jalosjos ay hindi ko binitawan kahit po initials kahit po clue tungkol sa kaniya, wala kayo nalaman mula sa akin," she said.

The showbiz columnist said that she was wondering why Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos and Congressman Bong Suntay were interviewed about the issue.

"Napakalinaw po, wala po kaming sinabi na benefactor ni Dominic Roque itong si Ginoong Bong Suntay," she said.

Cristy said that she will not apologize for the things she didn't say.

"Hindi ako ang hihingi sa 'yo ng patawad, ni paumanhin, ipagdadamot dahil kahit minsan hindi ko sinabi na si Dominic Roque ay nakatira sa isang condo unit na pagmamay-ari ng isang baklang pulitiko," she said.

Suntay, the owner of the gasoline company dragged in the issue, said that he is now talking to his lawyers.

"Bullet also wants to file [a case]. Ako, I'm talking to my lawyers also on what we could do. We're just gathering whatever we could find pa so hindi ko pa mapangalanan exactly kung against who. Siyempre, we want to file the strongest case. When you file a case, you wanna win because I'm also a lawyer and gusto ko kung sino 'yung pinaka-most guilty," he said.

The politician reiterated that he and Dominic have been friends for a long time already.

"Kahit hindi niya pangalanan siyempre, pagkasinabi mo na, sino ba naman 'yung pulitiko na may-ari ng gasoline company? There are malicious people na, 'Uy, ito, may picture kasama si ako,' na 'yun nga 'yung contract signing namin for gas station, 'Oh, binigyan ng gasolinahan,'" he said.

GMA Integrated News has reached out to Dominic and Mayor Bullet for their reactions.

Dominic's statement was made through his lawyers at Fernandez & Singson Law Offices. He apologized to those who were dragged into his breakup with Bea because of "the malicious, defamatory public innuendos of Ms. Fermin."

The actor confirmed that Jalosjos owns the condo unit he is leasing, but denied that the public official is his "benefactor." He also denied the rumor that Suntay gave him a gasoline station.

Following Boy Abunda's confirmation of Dominic and Bea's split, speculations on the reason for their breakup flooded the internet.

Dominic has also defended Bea, telling the public to stop bashing her.

Boy, meanwhile, reminded the public to be careful with their statements, including those making speculations.
