Bullet Jalosjos, Bong Suntay speak up on rumors linking them to Dominic Roque

Bullet Jalosjos, Bong Suntay speak up on rumors linking them to Dominic Roque

Dapitan Mayor Bullet Jalosjos and Quezon City 4th District Congressman Bong Suntay broke their silence on the issue linking them to Dominic Roque, following his breakup with Bea Alonzo.

In their interview on media practitioner and art hub Sentro Artista co-founder Jay Ruiz’s YouTube channel, the politicians set the record straight and clarified that none of the romantic allegations among them were true.

According to Jalosjos, he has been been friends with Dominique for about 10 years already.

“Nag-umpisa ‘yan sa pagmo-motor, nagka-karera kami sa Clark. And then, from there, naging good, good friends kami,” he said, adding they now often help each other, even with their business ventures.

He continued, “Kaya nagkakapagtaka na umabot sa ganito, na even ang genders namin ang pinagkakaguluhan na ngayon ng marami at nangtatanong kung talagang lalaki ba talaga kami. Nakakatawa lang ‘yung issue. Actually, pinagtatawanan lang nga namin eh,” he said.

Debunking "sugar daddy" rumors, Jalosjos admitted Dominic lived in his condo for three years — but as a paying tenant.

“Ang pangit namang pakinggan, sugar daddy,” he said, laughing. “‘Yung condo, akin talaga ‘yon. I’ve had it for quite some time.”

“Ginawa ko siyang Airbnb but because of the pandemic, pinagbawalan kami i-open for airbnb. Siyempre, as a friend, barkada, Dom asked me if I want to have it rented."

Explaining he doesn't really use it because he stays in Dapitan City and lives in Alabang, "siyempre ipapa-rent natin sa barkada natin for a good price."

"Natawa lang ako kung bakit tumalon ‘yung issue from business to binahay na,” he said.

Dominic rented the place for three years, but the condo is now vacant again, Jalosjos adds, showing screenshots of his conversations with the actor whenever Dominic sent his deposit slips for his rental fees.

“Sana naman itong mga nagkakalat that are claiming that they are mga batikang journalist, sana naman ingat-ingat din kasi they have a responsibility to the people na dapat fact-finding. Hindi ‘yung nalaman nila nasa pangalan ko ‘yung condo, sugar daddy na ‘ko bigla.”

Jalosjos added that he felt bad for his friend, especially since he just came from a breakup.

“Ang problema doon sinakyan eh, gina-gaslight nila ‘yung issue eh. Naawa rin kami kay Dom kasi siyempre, affected na nga ‘yung tao sa breakup, ili-link pa kami sa kaniya,” he said. “These people also have to be reprimanded, kailangan may consequences din ‘yung ano. May batas tayo eh,” he said.

Meanwhile, Suntay explained they were all friends farmed together by their similar passions such as motorcycles. Together with other celebrities like Dingdong Dantes, Richard Gutierrez, and Kim Atienza, are members of the motorcycle riding group Euro Monkeys.

“Siguro itong issue kung saan nadamay ‘yung pangalan ni Mayor Bullet at pangalan ko, eh dahil sa pagnanais namin na matulungan ‘yung mga kaibigan namin,” Suntay said.

Suntay also sorted out the allegations that he gave a gasoline station to the actor, saying they first had Dominic as a “celebrity driver” for his business, Clean Fuel.

“From there on, dahil mabait di Dom, ginawa ko na rin siyang brand ambassador ng Clean Fuel,” he said. “Kung talagang magre-research lang makikita nila na as early as five years ago, talagang brand ambassador na si Dominic. Ang nakakagulat nga ‘yung pinost pa nilang picture, ‘yung contract signing namin ni Dom na kinukuha siyang endorser.”

“Pero, wala naman ding katotohanan na binigyan siya ng gasolinahan,” he said.

“Ako, nung una, natatawa. I was taking it lightly. In fact, sabi ko nga sa kaibigan ko, ‘Uy, okay ‘to ah. Nakakakuha ng libreng advertisement ang Clean Fuel tsaka dumami ‘yung followers ko.”

Following Boy Abunda's confirmation Dominic and Bea's split, speculations on the reason for their breakup flooded the internet, including rumors on Dominic's SOGIE.

Dominic has also defended Bea, telling the public to stop bashing.

Boy meanwhile reminded the public to be careful with their statements, including those making speculations.

"Delikado 'yung speculations dahil malay natin, inaayos pa. Malay natin, nag-uusap. I don't know. How much do we really know?" he said.
