Rivermaya gathers celebrities like Maris Racal, Bela Padilla, Shuvee Entrata at reunion show

Rivermaya has finally come together for a reunion show last Saturday.

Thousands of excited fans filled the SMDC Concert Grounds to see their favorite ‘90s band reunite, including celebrities, who turned into fangirls and fanboys singing to their heart's content.

Chief of the celebs of course, was Maris Racal who fan-girled over her boyfriend, former Rivermaya vocalist and guitarist Rico Blanco.

On Instagram, the proud girlfriend shared a photo of her wearing a bubble headband of Rico, and holding a banner that says: “Rico, my oppa!”

“RIVERMAYA THE REUNION WAS [FIRE]! What an experience!" Maris exclaimed. "Witnessed GREAT chemistry on stage,” she added.

She was spotted with fellow Kapamilya artists Kaila Estrada, Jane Oineza, Darren Espanto and RK Bagatsing.

Like Maris, Jolina Magdangal was a proud wife to band drummer Mark Escueta, who kept the tempo up all night.

"Para kayong bumalik dun sa panahon na kasama mo barkada (ako nung highschool at college) mo at kumakanta kayo ng Rivermaya songs pero nasa mundo na ng Gen-Z," Jolina wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile Sparkle’s very own star Shuvee Etrata also sang her heart out to some of Rivermaya’s hit songs.

"I never thought I needed this moment in my life!" the newly minted Sparkle 10 member wrote on Instagram, where she shared some snaps of the concert.

It’s a mini-family date for Judy Ann Santos who went together with her husband Ryan Agoncillo and their daughter Yohan, who joined her parents as they jammed to the band's hit songs.

According to an Instagram Stories post by Juday, Dominique Roque joined the family for a bit.

Daniel Padilla was also there, who went to the concert with his sister Magui.

Bela Padilla was also accompanied by her brother, Mark, who bumped into Jericho Rosalas and Ketchup Eusebio. According to a report, Bela sat in the same row as Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli.

According to Mayonnaise’s frontman Monty Macalino, the star-studded event was “the greatest show on earth.”

The Rivermaya reunion concert happened on Saturday, February 17 where they performed their hit songs such as “Elesi,” and “Ulan.”

There was a long 10-minute tech difficulty but Rivermaya more than made up with a great setlist, Rico's solo performance, Bamboo's performance of a Rico song, and more.
