Ahead of the Rivermaya reunion, Rico Blanco marks 28th anniversary of ‘Trip’
‘90s kids, where you at?!
Ahead of the Rivermaya reunion, Rico Blanco marked the 28th anniversary of their second album "Trip."
The former Rivermaya guitarist and vocalist shared a photo of the album’s CD along with its tracklist, which included some of the bands' most iconic songs, “Kisapmata,” and “Himala.”
“On this day in 1996. TRIP was released,” Rico wrote in the caption.
“3 tulog na lang," he added counting down to the band's reunion concert on Saturday.
Rivermaya The Reunion is happening on February 17 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Paranaque City.
In an Unang Balita report last January, Rico compared performing with the rest of the guys to riding a bike because it comes naturally. He added that their songs will be given a new meaning because they are more mature now.
Bamboo Mañalac added that this time around, they will be able to give their 100% commitment.
“Years na ‘to pinapagusapan diba, this is not just something that’s been talked about. Until it became a solid idea, and then, ‘yun na,” the former vocalist and solo artist said.
Formed in 1994, the Rivermaya was the band behind the songs “214,” and “Elesi.”
