Michelle Dee named new ambassador of bank founded by her family

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee has been named the newest ambassador of a bank founded by her family.

According to Lhar Santiago's report on “24 Oras,” Wednesday, the Sparkle star arrived at the contract signing event in a stunning red dress.

“No words can really express how grateful I am and how much this means to me. We all share that shared vision of really trying to promote the Philippines and providing opportunities to all the Filipinos around,” Michelle said.

Among those who graced the event were Sparkle GMA Artist Center Vice President Joy Romina Marcelo, Miss Universe Philippines Creative Director Jonas Gafud, and her relatives, China Bank Vice Chairman Gilbert Dee and CFO Patrick Cheng.

The bank's Chairman of the Board Hans Sy as well as its president and CEO Romeo Uyan were also present.

“We've been praying for this even before Miss Universe. We have a lot of plans for Michelle,” Marcelo said.

Michelle returned home to the Philippines in November last year after competing in the Miss Universe pageant, where she placed in the Top 10. She won four special awards, including Best National Costume.

She recently joined the GMA Prime action-series “Black Rider,” which stars Kapuso Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid.
