'Rewind' becomes the first Filipino film to surpass P900M at the box office
“Rewind” has broken another record!
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’s comeback film is now the first Filipino movie to earn more than P900 million at the worldwide box office. According to Star Cinema, the film has so far earned P902 million in total.
“Rewind” was named the Philippines’ highest grossing film of all time early this week. It also surpassed the previous record in domestic sales set by “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which earned P691 million.
The film is screened in more than 270 cinemas in the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Guam, and Saipan.
It is also part of the Manila International Film Festival currently happening in Hollywood, California.
"Rewind" marks DongYan's return to the big screen since 2010’s "You to Me Are Everything."
The story follows a couple whose marriage is on the rocks. A tragedy happens which causes the characters to live in a time-loop.
