Heart Evangelista tearfully says some people from her past 'really destroyed my inner joy'
Heart Evangelista could not help but cry when she talked about people from her past.
In her latest unscripted, documentary-style “I Am Heart” vlog, shot from her time in Indonesia and Singapore in 2023, Heart opened up about the challenges she has been facing.
Towards the end of the hour-long vlog, Heart spoke to her team in a room before an event. She then turned emotional and said, “I’m only human. Like, I’m really tired.”
Without dropping names, Heart said, “When I get problems, like even personal problems, I couldn’t even be in a bad mood because they would make me feel like… that I’m so toxic.”
The actress and global fashion icon said to get over the situation, she is always game, tries to entertain people, and “Overcompensating ako kasi alam ko may problem ako personally... Mas bubbly ako before kasi fina-fight ko yung mga personal problems ko.”
Someone off-camera then told Heart, “But then again, these people are gone.”
“Yeah, I know they’re gone,” she answered. “But it’s how they paint you, like you’re such a bad person. Parang you have to be extra perfect to people around you."
Heart added that these people would influence her by saying that everything is a competition.
“I would be triggered about that because they would feed that to me but now that I’m alone, it’s really not about other people,” she said. “It’s about like… they really destroyed my inner joy, how bubbly I was, how I was so carefree.”
“And I’m still struggling because parang I wish I wouldn’t have to see them,” she added. “Parang dinumihan nila yung part nung area kung san ako nagtatrabaho, nandiyan sila.”
She said that one of these people took out all of their collaborations together.
"Like, what did I do to you?” Heart said. “Ganun ba ‘ko kasama? So pati ako, napapa-question ako na ‘masama yata akong tao.’ Pati ba naman ‘yun, galit na galit ka? Ano ginawa ko?”
An emotional Heart said that she knows she will get over it, but she was with them "for such a long time na it’s a process.”
She also said that she needs to build resistance and immunity towards the situation and admitted that she is still stuck in the victim mentality.
“I don’t wanna be bad. Like, I’m not a bad person. You know what I mean?”
Heart also admitted that although she has been through tough times, “it had nothing to do with them naman.”
“It’s not anymore about them and what they do now. It’s the damage that’s still there.”
She also said that she is not ready to forgive yet.
Last week, it was reported that former members of Heart’s glam team Justin Soriano and Jeck Aguilar could not board their flight to Dubai earlier this week due to an alleged hold departure order. The Department of Justice has since belied this rumor.Rumors of Heart's falling out started when she unfollowed the two on Instagram. In August, she opened up about being betrayed by friends.
Heart has also said that she is in a new era, and that she is braver now.
